The Power of Shared Stories: Finding Strength in Our Peer Support Groups

by | Mar 3, 2025 | Blog, Upcoming Events

When families lose a loved one to murder or culpable road death, the pain is unimaginable. Many feel isolated in their grief, struggling to cope with emotions that others may not understand. That’s why The Hub exists—to provide a space where families can come together, share their experiences, and find strength in one another.

Through The Hub’s peer support groups, families have the opportunity to talk openly in a safe, understanding environment. Whether you need to share your feelings or simply listen to others who have been through similar experiences, our groups offer comfort and reassurance that you are not alone.

Why Sharing Your Story Matters

Grief can feel overwhelming, but expressing it in a supportive setting can make a real difference. Sharing your story allows you to release emotions, find encouragement, and discover new ways to heal. Many who have attended our support groups say they feel a renewed sense of hope and connection.

Your story may also help others—giving them the strength to speak about their own grief and find a way forward.

Peer Support Tailored to Your Needs

At The Hub, we offer one-to-one and group peer support sessions, ensuring that every individual can access support in a way that best suits their needs. Beneficiaries also have the option to receive peer support at a pre-agreed time.

Starting in April 2025, we are dedicating every Wednesday to peer support sessions, running from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. These sessions will take place at The Hub, Anson Street, Liverpool, L3 5NY, providing a regular and supportive space for those in need.

A Community That Cares

At The Hub, we understand that grief is deeply personal. That’s why our support groups are designed to provide a safe space where families can be heard, respected, and supported. Our peer support provided by Families Fighting for Justice, ensures that every family affected by homicide or culpable road death gets the help they need.
