Supporting families affected by homicide extends far beyond the immediate days and weeks following a tragic loss. Children and young people often need ongoing opportunities to socialise, rebuild confidence and create positive memories as part of their journey forward.
One of the ways this support is provided is through OLLY, a project that brings children together through regular activities, outings and shared experiences in a safe and understanding environment.
Throughout August, a number of activities are planned to help children stay connected, enjoy the summer holidays and continue building friendships with others who understand.
🏕 Five-Day Camping Adventure
OLLY’s annual camping trip to Wales gives children the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, experience new adventures and develop confidence while creating lasting memories with friends.
🎳 Bowling
Bowling sessions encourage teamwork, laughter and social interaction while helping children enjoy time together away from the challenges they may face in everyday life.
🦀 Beach Adventures & Crab Fishing
Exploring the coastline and enjoying outdoor activities helps children relax, build confidence and experience the wellbeing benefits of spending time in nature.
🎉 Summer Party at The Hub
The summer party at The Hub provides another opportunity for children to come together, enjoy games and activities, and spend quality time with friends in a welcoming and supportive setting.
