Community Partnerships Help Children Build Positive Memories

by | Jul 6, 2026 | Blog, Gallery

One of the aims of The Homicide Support Hub is to ensure that every family affected by homicide can access the right support at the right time.

When children are affected by the loss of a loved one through murder or culpable road death, specialist support often looks very different from adult support. Alongside emotional support, children benefit enormously from opportunities to socialise, build friendships, regain confidence, and simply enjoy being children.

This is why we regularly signpost families to OLLY, a Families Fighting for Justice project dedicated to supporting bereaved children and young people.

Recently, a group of OLLY members enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT), where they spent the day taking part in activities, making memories, and enjoying time together in a safe and welcoming environment.

We would like to thank everyone at CAFT for their generosity and for the incredible work they do supporting children and families throughout the North West. Partnerships like these help ensure that children affected by traumatic loss continue to receive opportunities that support both their wellbeing and recovery.
